theres at least one member who'd be prepared to take that on dg, that horrible word legal gives.me the heebies though.

i know little of.how that works, does the new "owner" solely become legally liable for content posted after they took over or are they also liable for things in the past too for example?

I hate to mention this again...but I for one don't like airing my dirty washing in public, and again can't understand why this is in Community Chest and not in MEMBERS meetings/projects/stuff...as members, this decision has nothing to do with 'the outside world'...does make me question if there is an ulterior motive.....and yours on a personal level DG.

I have hung my hat and coat on this forum, I am already a member of a moderated one...so I have no need to go 'jumping ship'.

It was posted in community chest so that ALL members can see it, not just those that are logged in. As you may have noticed, a rather small percentage of our total membership are logged in at any one time.

So, no ulterior motive on my part or on anyone else's Jane.

ima joining your sit in dawn and ty for bringing a smile to my face with your post :)

tbh am inwardly seething here and really really sad about this turn of events. I am failing entirely to get my head round it all whilst simultaneously not wanting to think the worst about peeps.

I cannot help feeling that in some way we have been set up to fail - a community cannot effectively police itself and address issues/become more inclusive/more diverse if we are not given an opportunity to discuss the issues people have - whether that is the failing of individuals or of the community as a whole is i guess going to become apparent over the next few weeks...

This will involve providing details such as name, address, telephone number etc to the registrars and the hosting company.

Yes Jane...an ALL members issue/situation. Including those members that may be browsing the forum as 'guests' this weekend, not bothering to log in for whatever reason. It happens, people do that. @rick I should certainly hope that anyone regardless of their county of origin/residency not only has the same freedom of speech as eachother but do feel that this is the case as well.
