It keeps telling me players are injured when they aren't. So I've made several unnecessary substitutions (and then the player has played and scored) which in the long run is going to be costly...
For example this week I noticed Yaya Toure was down as being injured... so I looked into it and found that it wasn't the case at all... and he played today.

Or am I reading it wrong when a little red indicator appears on a player?

No, it's just that their information isn't always accurate. I don't think anyone truly knows when a player will return unless they're an insider as half the time the managers feed complete bullshit to the press. This site purports to have accurate information:

In the case of Yaya, I don't think he was even suspected of being injured. I couldn't find anything on it anyway...
I preferred having the subs available.... at least that way you don't have to use up your transfers if a player isn't playing or isn't available.
(not moaning at you for setting it up btw!)

I liked the substitutions, but I don't like the captain thing, especially the fact that you can alter your captain every week, that's why I changed it.

Have you tried the 'Tinkerman' thing yet? I had a go on it the other week & got a massive score!
- total fluke... I had Suarez in it on the week he scored a hat trick, as well as some other really good choices for that week.
Apart from that I'm not doing too well so far this year. Am gonna try & stick with the team I've got as much as possible from now on though. Chopping and changing really hasn't worked so far and I'm gonna run out of transfers at some point! Gonna have to get rid of Podolski though..

Speaking of Podolski, did you see the Arsenal-Reading game this evening?

I missed that unfortunately... was just gonna watch it but the vid has been taken down... 'copy yawn'
I did watch the Chelski - United game though & that was also a great game. Can't believe they tossed that away!

Bit of a trivial topic, but that Russian billionaire doesn't piss about.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20423905
Roberto Di Matteo sacked by Chelsea after Juventus defeat

Manager Roberto Di Matteo has parted company with Chelsea, the club have announced.

Di Matteo won the Champions League and FA Cup as caretaker manager last season and was given a two-year deal in June.

Even by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic's sky-high standards, the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo is ruthless. This is the manager who won the Champions League and FA Cup in May. Chelsea's statement claims results and performances have not been good enough - and yet only a month ago they were top of the Premier League after an outstanding 4-2 win at Spurs. The decision makes it even more abundantly clear that Di Matteo was only keeping the seat warm for the first love of Abramovich's footballing life, former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola. Will he ever be able to lure him to a club for which managerial instability is a way of life?

Apparently Spanish bookmakers have stopped taking bets on it being Benitez, according to what I just heard on the radio.

There was plenty of grumbling from the Chelsea brigade at work when his name was mentioned.

Despite the fact that it's highly likely any new manager will face the chop unless Chelski win treble after treble, the job is an attractive opportunity to make a good few million quid in a short space of time. Fat Spanish waiter up next!

Good.
Every time Chelski sack their manager they seem to go through a period of squabbling, change & uncertainty.
I'm confident this will screw their season up. & it being Benitez will make it even better!

The senior players run that team. If they don't take to him - Torres aside - it'll all go tits up. :)

Indeed & that's part of their problem! As well as Torres having a massive price tag that he's not lived up to!
Winning the CL last year was a massive fluke for them.

You'd think Barton would know better after the infamous McClaren incident.
