Partly because I'm feeling mischievous, partly out of general interest; which aspects of Icke work interest(ed) you most?

For me it was his research into banking and currency. I'd always wondered why certain pieces of paper were universally accepted as having a value above and beyond other pieces of paper, this train of thought lead me to Icke.

*no mentioning 'that' place and no -ive stories please*

For me it's the reptiles. Definitely the reptiles.

No seriously......;)

I can't actually put my finger on one thing that I'd say he has enlightened me on. His work only came up in my life as a result of other research I was doing. His name kept cropping up so I eventually joined the DIF.

That said, he has done a good job of bringing a lot of other people's research together in one package.

The aspects of Icke's works that interest me is the fact that he makes a lot of money by something that cannot be proven by a sane person and the fact that he is saying all these things with a straight face. I saw right through him during that Peru fiasco and I reckon he is going to vanish in the end of 2013.

My favourite aspect of his work is his recognition as us all being one, he also states how religion destroys spirituality and he also seems quite the anarchist with most of the stuff he talks about.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who I agree with 100% but there are people who can get on with like a house on fire....he would probably be one of them although there are ppl on this forum for example who I can see even more stuff they have in common with me.
Wakeupbomb is terrific, hell of a researcher, just a shame he's not as popular as Icke...

he certainly knows which paper money does him best and thus, charges in his currency of choice.

that said, i dont believe anything the guy says anymore, even if he forecasted the weather, id be sceptical now.

lets see....

queen is shapeshifting babyeating 9foot lizard?

does he mean this metaphoricaly or is he for real?

hitler is a rothschild bastard son?

oh really.

the moon is a spaceship?

has he watched too much starwars?

the earth is hollow?haha, yeah right

he is the son of god?that was his claim, he never retracted this.

what positive is left? :conf:

Yeah, it was similar for me dubs, he didn't give me all the answers but he certainly put them all in one place. Some of it new to me, most of it not.

To bring Oi's thread back inline, I must say that promotional vid he did for the Isle of Wight Tourist board led me to a decision that yes, buying that VW camper from a guy in Rhyde was a good idea. The ferry ride was nice and the drive along the coast road over there was awesome :D Cheers DI

I found him through my research into the vaccination scam and from that, ended up browsing the forum for a while then joining up.

What appealed to me being the old hippy that I am was the whole infinite love thing - for me it is the only thing he has said that comes close to a way forward. So many people can spot the rot as it were but little or no solutions or positive action is put forward - I like the idea of cutting off the negativity through positivity. Obv I realise that love aint gonna solve everything - but in evaluating whether we are coming at things from a perspective of good intentions and love versus bad intentions and negativity can be helpful - Unfortunately there are those who do appalling things and think that it is a loving thing to do - which kinda screws with the infinite love thing.

I have never gotten the reptile thing - the moon thing or some of the other things he has talked about - but I recognise that Icke has made a huge contribution in getting people talking about things.

And I shall leave it there or I shall end up talking about the more negative aspects of 'brand icke'

I saw the tv programme 'David Icke: Was He Right' I hadn't heard the name David Icke since his appearance on Wogan...I just heard the odd person here and there in subsequent years saying things along the lines of "he went nuts didn't he?" "didn't he go off his head or something?" The Wogan show was vague for me anyway, I didn't see it at the time, just heard about it.
Anyway  my point :chuckle: On David Icke: WHR? he struck me as an interesting guy, I liked what he had to say about repeaters, y'know that piece he did outside parliment about "jounalism". I liked some of the other stuff he said as well about the agenda, and who controls the world, etc.
I googled him after the show...I found his forum :D Joined up, lurked for a while, then joined in on a "Where were you on 9/11" thread. Then I started joining in on other threads, and I've been saying stuff ever since...9,600 and odd posts :chuckle:

I'm in the same boat, Dub. Back in early 2009, I had a weird series of dreams that involved Reptile humanoids in black obsidian-like armor. I was searching around online for related dream interpretations and symbolism. I didn't find what I was looking for. Instead I found this video of a British guy (Icke) talking with a Zulu Sanusi (Mutwah) about very similar beings that I had been dreaming about. I checked out his website, and read the forums for a few weeks before actually joining. I was intrigued that there were others who were questioning some of the same things I was. At that point it wasn't even about the Reptile humanoids for me any longer. I was more intrigued with the plethora varying ideas, etc. I did learn a lot from the community then.

I was aware of Mr Icke back in the Wogan interview years.

20 years later I got into him again through the internet and listening/watching his lectures.

I suppose what he talked about often touched on other people I was listening to like Chomsky and Michael Moore.

Even Bill Hicks.

Other stuff about the paranormal/UFO stuff have intruiged me for years too.

Hard to get down into one reason.

I like his "Bloke down the pub" approach as well. I get the feeling you could have a chat with him if you met him in the street or in the corner shop or something. Not that I'm the let's stop and chat type :chuckle:
I like his humour as well, when he slags off the elite mindset and that. "Imagine waking up and still being them, rather you than me mate" :chuckle:

He kind of put some puzzle pieces into place for me. I already knew things in the world weren't "quite right". A lot of the stuff he said was sort of confirmation.

Yes I really wasn't taking the mick about the reptiles. We've chatted before about experiences we've had with um non human entities, dreams and stuff as i hope you remember :).
I personally think that in this area, though it is one of the things that he gets most stick for, he aint far off.....

As a theory I don't have a problem with the whole reptile thing, it's as plausible as anything, evidence though (something I find Icke pretty stringent on in some areas) is somewhat lacking!

That's why I find it plausible (hallucinogens) as I don't see why something that doesn't exist on any level would find a place within our minds and let us see it. It makes less sense to me to just put anything the mind 'sees' as being "imagined". That just opens up a whole new line of questioning. But to take this and make the jump to believing such creatures inhabit humans requires a bit more evidence for me.

I didn't think you were, Dub. :)
I certainly do remember our chats. That's not something I would forget, as I don't cross many others with similar experiences to yours. I agree, he probably isn't too far off on some aspects of the subject. I think it was the BBC that posted an article on an Exoscientist who theorized a race of massive warrior like reptilian beings that invaded planets? Either way, it was interesting. ;)
