There are a lot of newcomers here who I think are unaware of what we are really all about here at SZ.

You must understand first and foremost that those of us who left DIF a long time ago (myself included) have no wish to go back to DIF, nor do we really want to hear about DIF.

Now you newcomers might, you might have an axe to grind for whatever reason or you might just enjoy the 'thrill' of the silly carry on but to be frank I don't and many of the original ones who came here don't.

There's a difference between free speech and just being a tit. If you like DIF then go post on DIF, if you like here then post on here but for crying out loud contribute to the community here if you stay. Otherwise your membership is pointless.

Sean starting that thread on DIF has only made matters even worse. We'd like this to be a totally open a good forum community with lots of good informative posts but its kind of difficult to have that with this DIF bullshit bumping decent threads down, its really bloody annoying :/

As for hadabusa he is gone, whatever he said to sean is between him and sean.

Nice try to hide the issue under the carpet. If you want to defend the mods you need to think harder to argue your point. :D First, it was on a thread where people discussed and voiced their opinion and experience with DI mods. The thread was opened a few days ago but you didn’t have a problem about that since you didn’t question or protest against newbie’s taking about their experience.

Second, there was no rant there. You can’t see it because the posted have been deleted. Bluegrazz didn’t say anything that was inappropriate but further asked for a clarification. I said what I needed to say about that subject. Saying that it was tit is silly and a poor attempt to protect the mods. :O
Honesty is much better.

Finally, I am not a person who can waste my time talking about others. I say what I need to say and let it go. But this issue is important if we want to be called mature. You may close your eyes pretending that the problem doesn’t exist. But as adults, if we can’t stand up and protect all children we are a total failure not deserving being called human!!!

Here is some honesty for you ftil...I am sick to death of DIF. And so are a pile of others who have invested time, effort and real money in this forum. Hope thats clear enough for you ;)

Did I get it right?
Look if you want to say that certain people who are not here to defend themselves, support pedophilia, its not on ok. Simple as that.

Accusing people of supporting pedophilia, or stating that they support pedophilia, well that was deemed to be off topic, end of. And thats what you were doing.

That is my honest answer.

What I was doing wrong? Saying that there was a thread opened by a pedophile that was closed and opened again. Or, saying that a number of members asked to close it but the mods refused to do so for a long period of time. Or perhaps, saying that sean finally closed but accused members who asked to close this thread of being crazy.

Second, people voiced many concerns regarding the mods on DI forum. It didn’t bother you that the mods couldn’t defend themselves but you have a problem now.

Can’t make it any clear than that. Hope this is good enough.

First, I didn't have a need to focus on that topic. Please don't make assumptions but read carefully what I wrote to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding. Somebody else brought this subject to the thread and I responded. I didn't start it but I felt that it was important for me to express my thoughts as I and others were not allowed on DI forum to do so.

I need your clarification what do you mean by saying, "If you, or anyone continues to bring up the DI related one, I will continue to delete the posts"

Hi...

If you'll permit me the opportunity to start again, I'd like to apologise.

By the time this all kicked off last night I was very tired and quite frustrated - in light of that, I responded to yourself by biting rather than thinking clearly and I'm sorry. What I should've done is slept on it.

Novums already said most of what I would have but I just want to add that until you actually have a browse around this place you're not going to be able see what we're about and until then, I fully understand how we aren't going to be viewed any different from other places because of peoples experience with moderation in the past. But you have to give us a chance and look for yourself.

The turn last nights thread had taken was wrong. More than one person here has already expressed this opinion. Having read it back today however, I see that you wheren't the issue and your points raised where genuine ones and without malice. The others however, I don't think where being raised for the same reasons as you. In fact, I believe that 'banned' and 'bluegrazz' jumped on the bandwagon so to speak, in a deliberate attempt to steer the thread even further down that track. You unfortunately, got caught in that. Bluegrazz has already confirmed this to me by the fact he was running back to the DI site with screenshots from here. It was nearly 4am here by the time I left, so I also apologise for not responding then but it had been a long day.

We're sick to death of the DIF and at this point in time, we've come to the end of our tether. The amount of bullshit being spread around due to us starting up beggers belief. I still find it quite amazing that a small group of people have been able to cause such a stir and are STILL getting crap thrown at us from sean and his posse of cunts all because his members are choosing to come over and join us. He needs to grow the fuck up.

So again, I apologise. I remember you well from that thread over there... and a few other threads in fact and just want to say it would be a shame to lose a strong minded person such as yourself over this. Nobody's going to be banning you girl, so the choice is down to you.

We've put alot of hard work into this place and I do tend to get somewhat fiery and defensive over the place, something I won't ever apologise for as it goes without saying.

Please stick around... have a good read and hopefully you'll be able to judge for yourself that what we have is different to what you have experienced before.

LOL! Are you saying that this forum is better because I was allowed to make, I think it were three posts about that subject, before they were deleted? Or perhaps, this forum is better because I wasn’t banned.

No. I'm saying you have the freedom to challenge the moderation without being punished for that in itself. Unlike other places.
I am wondering if we have already forgotten what freedom means. I mean freedom in a whole meaning of this word.
Or perhaps, forums were quite successful to indoctrinate us. I hope not as most visitors to conspiracy forums are not active.

When I signed up for this forum I must have missed the bit where it says you can post what you want, where you want, when you want with impunity, could you point it out to me please?

You do know freedom comes with responsibility right?

I know very well that responsibility comes with freedom. Do you really know what freedom means? Do you know what control means? I don’t blame you if you don’t. I didn’t know that several years ago and I was shocked that many behaviors were called controlling since many people practiced them. Well, my parents were the best! But life is about personal growth and responsibility.

Second, the problem with many forums this forum included is the fact that there are not clearly defined boundaries. Lack of boundaries is always a problem in any human interactions that leads to unnecessary misunderstanding or conflict. People may have a different understanding of freedom or control.
If they know the clearly defined boundaries that may think if they want to join and be a part of the forum or not. It is simple as that.

I hear you but I think that you had a chance to express your thoughts and feelings when this forum has been opened.
Why do you assume that newbies don't have any feelings and thoughts that need to be expressed and then they can let it go.
I am sick of DI forum as you are and I asked them to close my account.

As is freedom.

It's a baby of a forum. If you stick around you will see such boundaries are being formed by the community, NOT by the mods. Is defining your own boundaries freedom enough for you?

I would just like to clarify that my post in that thread concerning "that" issue was made with the express intent on setting the record straight, not in any shape, form or fashion was it done with intent to derail or further a drive off-topic. I'm sure my post read as such but I DO like to make things known for what they are without confusion getting in the way, as can happen quite often on internet forums (things getting lost in translation so to speak).

In regards to the post taken as a screenshot last night and shared "over there". That should have been all it took for the person originally posting (now inactive) to be Banned! (The act of them originally posting it here several weeks ago). Their post should have been left up for all to see and then quoted by a moderator announcing that "for this post such & such member has been Banned". Anything else just looks like a DIF-style cover-up. It's not what we are about here and certainly NOT a trend I want to see continuing forward! WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT!!! IT'S WHY WE'RE ALL HERE!!!

I'm responding to this again because while you're trying to portray yourself in some 'poor me' light for having posts removed for what may amount to legal reasons, the fact remains that you yourself fueled what was happening here last night by taking screenshots from this forum and presenting them on the thread over there.... of which they where also removed by I AM.

You obviously had only one intention by doing this, which is to shit stir. Is that all you're here for?

I know this phem and admit to making mistakes last night. But because it was the early hours, I was very tired and because of everything that's happened in the last few days, I jumped to wrong conclusions and basically fucked up. With all this being new, I guess I'm still learning how to walk that walk. In this event, I let emotions take over my judgement.

Thank you for your explanations and appology. I know that all the business with DI forum stirred many emotions and feelings. I am very aware that there are people who will try to distract and cause conflicts. I have noticed that on the other thread and didn’t bother to continue a conversation with a person who wanted to create a chaos.

I have to admit that deleting posts is a very sensitive issue for me. I was banned from two forum and my posts were deleted. There was absolutely no reasons as I posted independent research. So, when novum deleted my posts I was angry. But it is always good to have a good sleep to get a clarity back. ;)

We make mistakes. Only dead people don’t make mistakes. I think that we may take this as an opportunity to set a procedure how to deal with it. I know that moderating is not an easy job considering many trolls or distractors. I would feel perfectly fine, if novum sent me PM before deleting posts, expressing his concerns. I might have corrected my posts or even if I thought that his concerns were legit I might have deleted some of them. What do you think about it?

In regards to the bolded part, I agree totally with what you've just said there and if we hadn't flapped last night due to everything that happened, this would have been the most sensible solution all round and one we've actually used before. I can only pertain that we've kinda lost the way abit recently but having learned lessons, we're back on track. So again, please accept our apologies for basically screwing up.

Oh, psketti it is a high time to have a drink.....he is ready to serve.

Psketti is telling the truth when she says we have used the PM method before.

I wanted to react quickly last night in what i judged were the best interests of the forum at the time, and this was based on the fact that people were grabbing screenshots and posting them elsewhere.

In the future we will do our best to discuss posts with the poster first. Unless perhaps it is a clear cut case of trolling, which this wasnt by the way.

I can confirm that "we" as in those of us lucky enough to have been branded with the 'mod' badge in the past, did do things like this previously. I am assuming that given what happened last night, people flapped a bit and missed a few steps in the 'procedure'.

Having been on the other side myself, I can confirm categorically that NOBODY here, especially those involved in modship or admin, has anything but genuine good intentions for this place and its members. You don't even have to take my word for it, just stick around for a bit and watch.

Apologies have been made, issues have been aired - so it's all good. That is why we work so well, compared to lesser forums, imo... :coffee:

Some time ago someone, don't remember who, started a thread called :
I SEE NOTHING WRONG IN HAVING PAEDOPHILE THOUGHTS. It took some time , although we asked persistently ,for adm and mods, to lock that thread. Finally it was closed, and administration saying we should have a more open mind on these topics. Was this thread reported to the Police?
It can't be found now. Where is it? What happened to it?

www.davidicke.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1...07679&postcount=1129

Just so people know. Not sure if it'll stay posted very long, but it's on the Rumors thread. Out in the OPEN over there, so I'm not sharing anything here that the entire internet isn't already able to see.
