I disagree. The point of the potential positives was just that, positivity. It was intended to look at the planetary resources venture from a stance with implied integrity. I felt I covered improper handling and distribution of materials in the negative section.
Negative: Having one super company hoarding resources and development could be potentially bad. I would imagine that if this took off, there would be heavy sanctions for the usage and removal of earth-based resources. That could potentially give them a monopoly, and far too much power. It could be the foundation needed to establish a negative one world government that has been mentioned countless times. This could be one way to do it.

I think so, Coco. The cost of electronics, robotics, and propulsion systems has gone down quite a bit. It's not something that's going to happen tomorrow either. It's a bold and daring vision, and certainly won't be a walk in the park.

They're also focusing, for now, on near-Earth asteroids. They want to identify them, their paths of trajectory, and find out what their composition is to see which of them are worth the effort of mining. There are minerals here on Earth like platinum that aren't naturally occurring. It comes from asteroid impacts. One asteroid alone could have a higher yield than all of the platinum we've ever harvested. I think the biggest perk is the fact that we'd be relieving stress upon the ecosystems here on Earth, while still meeting the needs for metal alloys and minerals.

If it's a project that's run with integrity, it may also help to give our species a new direction. I'm not putting that all on planetary resources either, as I'm sure other companies would spring up if they saw this initiative working. NASA has lost it's steam in terms of space exploration and travel. With space travel becoming more commercially viable, they may end up being phased out in that department. One of the biggest gripes I have heard from fellow civilians about space exploration is the fact that it doesn't yield anything that effects day to day life. This would, in theory, by increasing abundance of metal alloys and minerals.

Ah, sorry I was reading in a hurry off a small screen :emb:

The only bit i really disagree with is that you say we are an advanced civilization. In a benevolent, healthy society it makes totaly sense to exploit the required mineral resorces from places where they wont be missed and where taking them wont cause ecological damage or upset anyone by levelling a community to get what you want.
But at the moment, its a case of 'same shit, different planet' and history has shown that it will never translate to better quality of life for us as 'they' will always find new problems to use an an excuse for war, tax, and global instability. But then I believe in chemtrails and all that, so i beieve they want to poison us and the planet.

Also I don't think terraforming the moon is a good idea though and the surface is so tough that it doesnt really lend itself to mining either: (the bit in red is what im referring to, but all the info is interesting and possibly relevant)

Spaceship moon
the moon is bigger and lighter in mass than it should be, its massive. It should be about 30 miles in diameter-but is 2160.

No magnetic field-yet rocks are magnetised. Large circular areas of high density and higher gravitational pull-once believed to be oceans, appear artificial, very few on dark side of moon.

Rocks on the moon of 4.5 billion years old-that's 1 billion years old than the Earth, said the whack theory does not make sense and the Earth has all the iron and the moon has none.

Coincidences
the moon is 400 times smaller than the Sun, at the solar eclipse is 400 times closer to the Earth-this makes the moon appear the same size as the sun. When the sun is at its lowest/weakest, the moon is at its highest/brightest. Both set at the same point on the horizon at the equinoxes and opposite points at solstices. We never see the dark side due to synchronicity of the moons rotation-it rotates on its axis in about the same time it takes to orbit the Earth. Very slow rotation-one turnover every 27 Earth turns. The Earth rotates 400 times faster than the moon and turns 40,000 km on its axis in a day to the moons 400 turns. Earth spins 366 times in one solar orbit and polar circumference of the Earth is 366 times bigger than the moon. Circumference of the moon is 27% the size Earth and the Moon makes 27 turns per orbit of Earth,.

Multiply circumference of moon by that of Earth= 436, 669, 140KM. Divide by hundred= 436, 669-the circumference of the Sun which is correct to 99.9%. Divide circumference of the Sun by that of the moon x 100 = circumference of the Earth. Divide the size of the Sun by the size of the Earth and x 100= size of the moon.
Precision of the proverbial Swiss watchmaker.

Moon, Earth and Sun encoded with unit of measurement called the megalithic yard. I.e. used for measuring stone circles etc.

Structures were built to observe movements of Sun/moon etc-but how would they know the circumference?

Hollow moon
it is known that the core is far less dense than the outer layers-it may have no core at all. But a natural satellite cannot be hollow.

It has only 60% the density of the Earth. The moon may not have a core or is partially hollow.

They crashed a lunar module causing impact equal to 1 tons of TNT. Shockwaves built up 8 min-rang like a bell 30 min. Another module equal to 11 tons of TNT-the moon reacted like a gong-vibrated three hours and 20 min to a depth of 25 km. The moon wobbled very precisely as if it had big hydraulic dampers struts. The moon was hit by a meteor equivalent 200 tons of TNT-massive shockwaves deep into the interior...... but none came back!!

The outer surface of the moon is very hard and has minerals like titanium. Moon rocks contained processed metals including brass and Mica, and elements uranium 236 (radioactive waste found in spent nuclear fuel and reprocessed uranium) Neptunium 237-byproduct of nuclear reactors-neither are ever found naturally. They also found iron particles that never rust-that doesn't happen naturally.

The moon is a spacecraft
hollowed out using nuclear drills and poured radioactive metallic slag onto the surface.

Artificial Sputnik
filled with fuel and machinery. The hull is supertough-double layered and 20 mile thick-then a loosely packed covering (about 3 miles back). Where the lunar seas and craters are-Delay is then and in some cases non-existent.

The moon is inside out. The outer layer is tough-hence why craters are so shallow. The outer layer acts as a buffer. Rocks contain titanium, chromium, and circonium-refractory and mechanically strong and anticorrosive properties. Very resistant to heat and wear. From an engineer's point of view, superb construction.

10 x titanium as Earth rocks. Maria Plains are the size of Texas and covered with fluid titanium. Protective coating was damaged and repaired with liquid titanium.
The age of the moon dust can be explained by space travels of the moon.

Large bulge on dark side-the immense hull of a spaceship.

Unexplained eruptions of water vapour i.e. there is an atmosphere that sustains life inside.

Irregularities:
Moon is too big and too far out.
Moon has such shallow craters.
How can the moon sustain its bulge.
Age of moon rocks.
Moon is inside out.
Mysteries of Maria and Mascons.
Dry as dust-but there are clouds of water vapour erupting from the surface.
Moon vibrates like a gong.

The placement of the moons dictate the speed of Earth rotation and angle at which it rotates-22.5° from vertical. This angle create the four seasons (before the moon there were no seasons)-influences the tides and the water in our bodies too.

Dictate our relationship to time. Months= moonths i.e. based on moon cycles.

Water and resources taken from the Earth to moon and Mars. Zulus confirm this.

Sumerian accounts of Anunaki say they came to mine gold. There is no gold in Fort Knox-just tungsten blanks.

The death Star
the moon and phobos= spaceship/base/modus operandi of the reptilians.

Arrival of the moon ended the golden age-ancients blame the serpent gods.

War in the heavens-planets between Mars and Jupiter was destroyed to become asteroid belt, solar system totally disrupted. The Earth turned over i.e. when moon Drew close and moved again to adjust its position. Created seasons-hence 'gods talk to people about the seasons'(why would we need to be taught?)

Ancient confirmation
moon=' chariot' of the gods/Goddess.
Zulu say the moon is hollow and home of the Python and moon was brought here 100 generations ago by two brothers (corresponds with Anunaki - Enki&Enlil) Zulus say the brothers stole the moon in the form of an egg from a great fire dragon and emptied out the yoke.
Semiramis came from the moon in an egg that fell into the Euphrates at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Accounts say reptilians come to Earth at the full moon when Satanic rituals abound and legends say people become vampires and werewolves.

Sun worship originates from reptilians having eyes as bright as the sun.

Before the moon there were no seasons and the planet was permanently surrounded by Caribbean water vapour. People did not feel the fierce glare of the sun and could only see it through a watery mist. That was beautiful, a gentle place, lush and green and the fury of the Sun was not there. Then the water canopy fell to Earth as a deluge of rain when the moon came.

Reptilians manipulate from the moon where the Python lives-accounts warned to never upset the moon. If the sun is forgiving but never the moon. Moon was built faraway to travel the universe.

The moon was the Ark in the Bible where new genetic material was saved-an new post-flood, genetically manipulated version of man went forth.

Accounts :Reptilians come to earth in saucers. Moon is a 'magician'.

Reptilians created by the Sun to cause havoc for creation 'given authority to really mess things up in the universe'. Change rotation and angle of Earth 'Earth turned over'. Brought tidal systems, women didn't menstruate before. Moon stops Earth getting too fertile and moon/Earth in a silent war.' The moon, out of jealousy is a bad sister'. Reptilians threatened to take the moon away if humans didn't do what they are told.

Humans are from Orion
from a world among the stars. A paradise world with red rocks, Earth, sand, seas. Credo says is the real Garden of Eden-survivors banished for their greed and lust after a war between man and woman. Zulus call planet Matfieng/Lord of the flies-insulting depiction of the survivors (Beelzebub also Lord of the flies) survivors were brought here in the moon.

Calling cards of the gods.
There are lots of unexplained structures on the moon-a 'bridge'12 miles long. Hundred 50 obelisks-huge shadows cast by spires. Others are taller than the tallest buildings on earth-two or three times taller and much lighter in colour than surrounding lava fields.

Strange lights on moon. Astronauts reported object 25,000 mph heading to moon emitting radio signals.

Moon base.
Photographer "discovered a base on the back side of the moon, geometrical shapes/towers, spherical buildings, tall towers at radar dishes. Some structures half a mile in size. Some look like cooling towers. Some are very straight and tall with flat roof. Some were round and domed structures and new UFOs get airbrushed out. (Not a base, but it's an entrance to the moon)

The moonsters
reptilian headquarters. Also have interdimensional portal that allows fourth density reptilians to enter third density. Then via spacecraft/teleport-still cocooned from third density, two locations under the Earth. The third density reptilians are part of this too. Genetic manipulation experiments with abductees, also genetically manipulated royal bloodlines at the moon.

Monarchy/moonarchy.

The fake moon landing
secret government including ex-Nazis longer have access to flying saucer technology.

The first moon landing was a total fraud. An Exposé says Kubrick directed the 1969 moon landings in a studio. Kennedy was shown flying saucer technology after his election and realise potential for other uses i.e. cheap benign energy for everyone. Soon after JFK made a speech asking NASA to land a man on the moon before the decade was out-ploy to get them to release technology to fulfil the vision.

In return Kubrick negotiated unlimited budget for 2001 space Odyssey (and allowed to make any film he wants with no oversight). Same special effects and visual anomalies seen in moon landings and space Odyssey.
Long list of contradictions in lighting etc. He purposely included anomalies so the truth would later be uncovered.

Kubrick died in 1999 after showing 'eyes wide shut'to Warner Brothers. Tom Cruise/Kidman-story of Satanic mind control. Film release date was 16th of July 1999-30 years to the day after moon landing.

I did start a thread on this very subject at our last place. My take on it was slightly different than yours. I think I called it something like "not content with strip mining Earth....".
It's fair to say that sooner or later, if we survive as a species we are either going to have to go off world or off physical. That's if we are to believe that our sun has a finite lifespan.
However, I'd say that you only have to look at the people behind this idea to see that it is destined to be exploitative from the off.....

The moon would be an ideal base from which to launch mining probes.
I'd expect if any mining was to be done initially it would be for very rare and costly elements such as rhodium and other such platinum group metals.

I'd expect there to be some interest in He3 too with the moon.

Those are the things I'd expect to get mined first but IMHO its not financially viable unless they can be launched and recovered from the moon and then relayed to Earth.

Mr. I,

Ever since I heard of the realistic idea to space mine almost a month ago, I've been reminded of the tale of beings from another planet come to Earth (a very long ago) to mine precious resources resulting in their creation of modern Man.

Kinda makes me wonder if we 'children' of these beings are now starting to increasingly imitate our 'parents'.

Also this account about The Ram-Sethu or Adam's Brige, or Rama's Bridge: The Ram-Sethu being built by the monkey - army under the supervision of 'Nalan.....

Just a thought.

I don't recall claiming that we are currently advanced. I'll have to go through and see if I did. I how-ever agree that we aren't. We're a young developing species. Nothing lasts forever, power structures come and go. Things will have to change, or our species as a whole may not survive.

I think terraforming the moon would be a good idea personally. The surface of the moon is indeed hard, but so was Earth before organic matter and a dense atmosphere was introduced. Dense atmospheres create weather effects, which leads to erosion. Erosion would break down the tough materials and create a palatable platform for microbes and simple plants/fungi/molds to establish a foothold. They would also begin to break down the tough surface. Over time they would die and create a layer of nutrient rich minerals and soil, allowing for the introduction of more advanced lifeforms, thus building upon it. Eventually I could see the moon being used to house populations and large-scale agricultural endeavors.

Yes, Luna is indeed strange. It's the largest moon in comparable size to it's parent satellite. Like you, I question the origins of the moon as well. It's composition is different than the earth's. It's argued that it's different because of various asteroid impacts. I don't agree with that because the Earth would have taken some of the same type of hits. As far as the 'rang like a bell' material, I think the jury is still out on the interpretation of that. I could be that Luna has large amounts of subterranean water reservoirs. Maybe the moon is some massive colony? I really wouldn't know. I have read accounts of lunar anomalies, and seen the pictures of the lunar surface that appear to be photo edited. Clearly you've done some extensive research into the alternative side of this subject, more than I have. I need to do some more research before I'm ready to make the same leap you have. In the meantime, I'll remain open to the idea.

I too think there may have been another planet or two in the solar-system at a point in time like you do. I don't know if it was the result of a war or not. I tend to lean more toward a conventional possibility, but you could be right. It's theorized that our solar-system was once part of a small galaxy that was, and still is in the process of being absorbed by the Milky way. If that's true, I would imagine there to be quite a few celestial impacts as a result.

I'm not really sure where the idea of linking Luna and Phobos to the deathstar came from. Saturn's moon Mimas bears a much closer resemblance than either Luna or Phobos.

Great post, Andy. I agree with you. The moon would indeed be the best place to launch probes continuously. The low gravity and very thin atmosphere would be great. It would cost less for fuel than it does on Earth. Helium 3 could be a potential fuel source as well. A non-radioactive nuclear fusion driven propulsion system would ideal. It would be much lighter than standard rocket fuel cells, and would last longer.

Ancient confirmation
moon=' chariot' of the gods/Goddess.

Great reply :) And yes, there is lots more to know all round.
I remember watching a video about terraforming and how it is a totally natural thing and that it is the means by which life is supposed to spread - a bit like how birds eat fruit, then poop out the seeds at another location so the seed can grow, and thats how the different plant species travel. I find the idea exciting and love the idea of exploring and creating new planets.

As you say, there are so many things which dont add up with regards to the moon and relative to all the conventional theories, Icke's ideas make the most sense to me personally, at least for now.

I've not seen that photo before and I see a definite resemblence, but i think the death star analogy relates more to the function of the supposed 'spaceship moon' than to the physical appearance. That said maybe Mimas is in on it too :O

Do you have a link to it? I'd like to check it out. :)

I agree that our species has to start to do something. Like you said, go off world or physical. I don't know if anyone has worked out the physical possibility, so for now the best option I think is asteroid mining.

I couldn't agree more, dub. There are some shady investors no doubt. I mentioned that in my opening post. Google and Microsoft sent off alarm bells. Unfortunately, they're the people with the money. This could end out changing things for the better, or solidifying an elitist foothold. Either way, something has to happen. As a species we can't keep mining this planet the way we do. They don't want to ditch the monetary system, or consumerism. At the rate we're going, we'll end up poisoning our entire species for the sake of power and little pieces of paper. They're not going to budge, and the rest of the population are content with being consumer drones. I'd rather steer them toward mining out asteroids than have us continue to wipe species out, displace people, etc. I don't honestly think people are going 'wake up' anytime soon, so this buys some time to figure things out. My concern is the continuity of our species.

The thread was on the old sanctum. Your thread has gone into a lot more depth already so I wouldn't bother rooting it out ;)

We are in agreement I think, that given the present conditions, this represents perhaps the lesser of two evils. Likewise I think we agree that it would be just plain wiser for us to address the rate we are consuming raw materials.

I for one will certainly be keeping an eye on developments in this area. I'm no luddite ;) I am however wary of the motivation.

Mr.

If there is something to those stories, then I would surmise that those beings wouldn't have been much more technologically advanced than we are today. That might indicate that they were from a fairly near planet, or maybe of this planet. I don't see a super advanced interstellar species needing to do that, as asteroid mining would have higher mineral/metal-alloy yields. Robots would be ideal for that as well. They don't need to eat, sleep, can withstand temperatures that known biological creatures couldn't handle, and large amounts of radiation.

Cold logic would tend to point towards these beings as being of this planet itself, as mentioned above I believe its possible we could have had an advanced race on Earth in pre-history. They could perhaps have even left Earth already and stragglers left behind passed on a little knowledge which dwindled to give the weird history we have.

I certainly don't see why aliens would travel interstellar distances to specifically visit here.

Ah okay.

The lesser of two evils, that describes it perfectly. You're right, I would much rather see things designed for longevity, with upgradable components in mind. That's what should be going on right now. I don't think we'd have many of the problems we do today if we did.

I don't blame you for being wary, or anyone else for that matter. It's a big venture that could give far too much power to potentially bad people. If this discussion is doing anything, it's at least bringing some level of awareness to that. People in positions of power can't really operate in the dark when the spotlight is on them. ;)

I think you could be correct on that, Andy. At that point I suppose they would be considered 'ultraterrestrials'. A species of this planet who could have developed to a point where they may appear alien, especially if they've left for a while and returned.

I agree. I don't see an interstellar species traveling specifically here to mine. Like you said, they could have arrived here by accident, for refueling, etc. Great post again. :)

Mr.

I think Coco is referring to the Annunaki, who supposedly genetically manipulated humans to mine gold for them (they need gold for some reason apparently - hence why Fort Knox is full of tungsten blanks), and this explains why there is evidence of gold mining some 10,000 yrs ago in Africa (why primative people would mine for gold which is dangerous, complicated and very difficult without good reason is beyond me). Humans were created to be biological robots and to be clever enough to mine gold, but dumb enough to be controlled, according to the theory.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Sitchin and Sumerian tablets. If there was an advanced species that genetically modified a workforce, I don't think they were from a distant solar-system/Galaxy/Dimension. Logically they would have been from a neighboring planet, or this planet. There appears to be more ambiguous information/evidence for them being ultraterrestrials. A super advanced species capable of interstellar travel wouldn't need to mine planets or create a genetically modified workforce. So basically I wasn't disagreeing with Coco, or even you. Andy and myself were just narrowing down possibilities.
