Then, there is a subtler, I'd say more intelligent version, which is VERY aware of whether or not others can perceive those traits in them.
I have read somewhere that the majority people this way fear being found out and hide it as best they can, they are afraid of being found out, and i have to say that having experienced being on the receiving end of their agendas and exposed some people, it seems to be true. They are terrified of what people will think of them when their agendas are called out/exposed.
I recall the same article saying that because of this (hiding it) ... it is indeed much more prevalent in the population than people may first think.
As for the diffferences in people, the subject also dances around the nature vs nurture debate imo... there is an argument that people are just born different to one another in regards to the kinds of traits discussed here. The counter argument is about whether upbringing and/or trauma and so on brings out /increases/magnifies these traits. Maybe its a little from column A and a little from column B.
I agree the powerful dont give a shit what people think of them... they dont have to. And lets face it most people are apathetic even when they kinda know things arent right.
The 'neanderthal' argument has also gone the other way ofc. Where it is said they are the psychopaths in positions of power. Not sure if thats the 'other' thread youre talking about elsewhere Abs, it might be... i recall not agreeing with people on that and crossing swords somewhat with them, (yes on DIF) .. because i just dont agree that there are two distinct species of 'us' right now... ( i feel loopy even writing that out tbh) .. just differences.
I do think the same can be observed in animals tbh, maybe there are some lessons to be learned there?? Some have distincly different personalities to others despite being the same species, or even siblings or relatives sometimes. I think people are no different.
Again perhaps a combination of nature and nurture are the reasons for these differences, imo.
