Lovely voice he has. As for the tea party, it's an attempt to revitalize patriotism with conservative values. Many of them are staunch devotees to the constitution.

Here in the US we have several political parties like you folks in the UK, though only the Democrats and Republicans are taken more seriously by a wide range of US citizens. Namely to do with their money, advertisements, and backing from news media. In my personal opinion, the Tea party is little more than controlled opposition. An attempt to perpetuate the pointless division of left vs right, liberal vs conservative. Both sides bow down to corporations and elitist banking institutions, but pretend to be at odds with one another. It keeps the little people occupied and feeling like they're actually contributing to something that's rigged.

I don't personally believe in the merger of religion and state. The US is now quite diverse, and I think it just makes it easier to go about day to day life without incorporating it on a professional level. I don't care what people do on their personal time, so they can practice then.
