:O I don't know if there are any fight fans... but I tuned in to what I thought would be a decent tilt between Lucian Bute, Canadian by way of Romania, defending his world championship for the 10th time vs Nottinghams Carl Froch.... Froch absolutely bludgeoned him in 5 rounds, and it was almost over in the 3rd and 4th. Froch is a likeable guy, so I'm not too disappoined, but it was a bit of a shock to me. Oh well. Life goes on, I'm not the one who got beat up. :chuckle:

Yes, I was in fact talking about boxing. Just wondering if there were any fans on board, I know the Brits who do follow it are diehard fans.... and I just can't really get behind soccer or billiards with any real conviction. :chuckle:

Snooker... it just sounds dirty for some reason. Billiards sounds more classy. Football? The rest of the world calls it soccer.... it's time to let it go..... :chuckle:

:D Dirty :chuckle:
Ciff Thorburn (Canadian Snooker player) I think he's canadian anyway...he pronounces snooker "snucker" :chuckle: AT least he acknowledges that it's the one true name for that game :D

As for soccer, the rest of the world are wrong! :chuckle:

Football :D

I find it amusing that the Americans call their game played mainly with the hands "football" It should be called handball :chuckle:

 OK, soccer it is then. :D The closest it came to being football was when Zidane head butted that guy in the World Cup Final. World Cup of what, you ask? Oh yes...World Cup of Soccer... :chuckle:

Aussie Rules .... :killinme: we used to watch back in '80's when Jocko was popular, and we would try to follow it.... and we would laugh every time some "points" were scored and the line judge would come out and do the two finger point gesture thing... :chuckle: too much. It's a game that looks like they make up the rules as it goes along. I understand Rugby, soccer and football, but not the ARF.
