I'd like to add to the zombie classification chart.
The nano zombie:
Tiny nano robots infect the body of a human host. They use the iron content of human blood, muscle tissue, and the magnetite in the human brain for replication. While active in the body, they attach themselves to the nerves, muscle tissue, and brain of the human host. They then take control via electromagnet pulse discharges, and controlling chemical releases of the brain and adrenal glands. As a result they would be faster and stronger than normal humans, and feel little to no pain because of high distributed doses of endorphins. Unlike other zombies that have weak human teeth that wouldn't realistically be able to successfully chew through bones, this zombie would be able to. The Nanites would congregate around the jaw and teeth, acting as a protective metallic shield. This would increase the chances for a bite to infect a new host as well.
These nanites would be very similar to a highly infectious virus, and would need to find a new host frequently. The depletion of iron, magnetite, muscle stress, and bone stress would mean this zombie would have a short 'life-span', probably a week or two at best. This could also possibly be filed under the 'alien zombie'.
As for what I would carry in a zombie survival kit...
A machete - close quarters defense/quiet attack
A light and reliable handgun for 'oh shit' situations.
A bow and arrows for quite long distance shots - It may not be just zombies you're contending with.
A crowbar
A
pocket chainsaw for quiet and effective cutting - better than an ax or hatchet.
First aid kit
Water purification kit
Fishing line, hooks, and lures - can also be used to stitch up wounds in a pinch
Waterproof wild herbs and veggies guide
Flint and tinder
Space blankets
Extra socks
The great thing about this thread, is much of the advice is relevant in other scenarios too.
I mean, in the case of financial armageddon all the above tools will come in handy, and even the flame thrower might be needed at times too.

Though I was concerned when the Advert talked about cutting through limbs, but realised was talking about tree limbs.
