I've learnt a hell of a lot from listening to this guy, and while I don't always agree with him, I'm not sure I'd want to get into a debate on economics with him!

I will post up videos from time-to-time on here. For starters, here is Nicky Campbell trying to deal with him on Radio 5Live:

The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Still waiting for the publisher to give the green light, but I will try to be patient. I'm constantly collecting articles so that I can write a final updated version before it's published.

I'm not 100% certain what's going to happen next, but I do think that the FT and Huffington Post reporting on J.P. Morgan and its derivative position indicates that we're not one-million miles away from seeing some action. I've been watching Keiser say over and over again for years, "J.P. Morgan is a dead bank walking". Now the mainstream is beginning to let this information trickle out. As I've said elsewhere, Quigley also stated that the original J.P. Morgan was as important as the Rothschilds, and J.P. Morgan remains the biggest banking corporation in the world. Again, Keiser's been saying for ages that their stock is going to go down to virtually zero. This will have a huge knock-on effect, it will probably render the entire US economy untenable, as 31% of the US GDP is financial sector. Of course, all the other major US investment banks are leveraged up to their eyeballs as well.

I'm quite sure that the present situation in Greece is the establishment's way of beta testing how the population of a small European country responds to financial crisis / IMF austerity / blatant rape and pillaging. Of course, they've already done this all over the world, but it is somewhat new in Europe. I still think that someone who I heard being interviewed about six months ago, who said that the IMF is scared that one or more of the big countries in Europe will stand up to them is correct. A while ago there was lots of talk about Spain and Italy being in trouble, and the IMF were saying a few things, but this has died down now. And they were saying the other day that Britain should engage in more QE. So you never know how long they'll kick the can down the road.

But I expect to see some serious action in the next eighteen months. I said in that radio interview that the US would reach its debt ceiling again in roughly December, 2012. The MSM is already starting to talk about it:

www.reuters.com/article/2012/05/24/us-de...dUSBRE84N0ZT20120524

It must become evident to people at some point that no amount of QE, 'growth' or phony, redundant academic economic theories is going to rescue the situation.

Its funny you should mention Spain, just now on radio four was a program about Spain asking for a further 19 billion to see their way forward or in the IMF backwards in the pit of Saxes.

There is a term in GS that names all these risky derv's as Junk, I too on a laymans outlook say GS is going to take the hit and leave the window wide open for the others like BIS and the world bank to step up to the podium and bring in the new money.

This is when the people need to say we are not working for nothing hand us back.our freedom, all they need to do is boycott the slavery bills which most major investors now have in the Asian basket.

If the masses fail the current industrial giants will be invited to destroy each other for the spoils to be comandered once again.

To hell with it all I'm making my own system.

Agree with everything you're saying here. I really see the BIS as being absolutely central to what's going on. It's not accountable to anyone, it serves as a central bank to central banks, yet it's completely privately owned. I'm sure if you could get down to the brass tacks of who the shareholders were there you would learn a lot.

You're definitely doing the right thing, no doubt about that. I'm actually not really a believer that we will see the kind of chaos that some think that we will, but if you took a combination of the social situation in Spain and Greece and then multiplied it somewhat then I think you would get some idea of what will occur. There are going to be masters and a lot of serfs and a hell of a lot of unemployed people, and a decimation of the middle-class.

Not very good sound quality, but quite amusing:

About six minutes in he mentions Goldman Sachs betting against its own advice. This is the 'crap securities' scandal:

www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/apr/27/...te-committee-hearing
The besieged Wall Street bank Goldman Sachs, which is fighting a $1bn (£650m) fraud prosecution, faced hours of attacks by angry lawmakers for putting its own profits before clients' interests as it dispensed complex mortgage-backed securities branded as "shitty" and as "crap pools" by its own traders.

Slips a good reference to Building 7 into this interview:

Just to elucidate briefly, in the second video, the ostensibly pro-establishment Professor admits that the dollar will lose its world reserve currency status, but suggests "we need to have a new Special Drawing Rights set by a super-IMF which will be international with governance that will allow Europe to have a very, very high hand there, the emerging countries will have a high hand there, and will determine the Special Drawing Rights that means a basket of countries that will be credible, with the dollar, with the Euro, with the Renminbi, with the Yen...and we should be heading towards this currency". What he is proposing is really a stepping stone to a truly globalised currency.

Interesting interview which particularly relates to Britain here:

Great thread. We are lucky to have you here at SZ.

I listen to this guy too. He may be carving his own niche as the maverick economic analyst but that is a niche our all-too-compliant-to-big-business financial news media desperately needs.

Max Keiser - Works for RT.

Who owns RT? RIA Novosti.

Editor in chief of RIA Novosti - Svetlana Mironyuk.

Who does she hang out with?

I was shocked the first time I watched Max on RT. I managed to watch 5 mins before I decided it was too good to be true.

I think it is quite well established that RT is Kremlin-funded, and there's no point paying any attention to their views on Russia, or their ally China. It is quite clearly an anti-Anglo-American / EU-NATO propaganda station. Luckily for them, in order to achieve this, all they have to do is tell the truth. That doesn't mean you shouldn't take what they say with a pinch of salt and question its validity, as you should with everything that everyone says, but certainly they do a far better job of covering news in America than any other television channel. Of course, CSNBC, Fox and all the rest of them could do this, they just choose not to.
