Thanks to irrepressible for figuring this one out.

We have some intermittent issues with images not appearing when simply wrapped intags.

Irre has found a fix for this, by adding a size into the first tag. You simply add the width you want the image to be, example...

this can either be done by typing the tags manually around the image url, or using the image insert tool in the boardcode tools above the reply box, and entering a size in the size field.

So we suggest that members add a size to their image when posting one.

You dont have to know the size of your image by the way, simply enter a size you would like the image to be, and the forum will make it the size you entered, regardless of what size the image was to begin with.

The width of the image will become the size that you have entered.

somehow an extension is being added.

the ampersand and after has to go. (&pid=1.1) i think your browser may be adding them.

have you tried to test what happens when you get the images from another engine?

Those urls are not ending in a standard image filetype, jpg, bmp, tiff, etc so perhaps SZ software is unable recognise them.

Maybe try this workaround for now Ab .......
There's a photobucket uploader add-on available for Firefox > here <

You simply right click on an image, select 'upload to photobucket' then take your url from that source.

Voila...

you need to open the link of the image on the search results, not the image itself.

then once you open the link, press 'Full size image' then get that URL from your browser.

you are scrolling over the image, and opening the IMAGE in a new window. This opens googles file, not the actual image where it is hosted...in this case it opens...

which is a google URL, it WONT embed.

You need to click on the LINK instead, not open the image, in this case

"Simpsons_nelson_haha.jpg" or similar

once you are there...press "Full-size image"

the proper hosted image will now appear in your browser. Use this URL when trying to post images...in this case..

which when wrapped in image tags yields..




Note that the search results always change a little, so the links i put up can change...but the principle is the same...seems to me you are scrolling over the images on search results...which makes them pop out bigger...then you are getting the url of that popped up image...

instead of the correct way which is to click on the link, and then press "Full size image" to ultimately end up viewing the image with the correct URL in the browser, instead of a search engine URL.
