Is there a 'celebrity' who you consider to be utterly talentless? Who you believe has never produced anything of any worth whatsoever? Whose success is utterly baffling and incomprehensible to you?

All reality show "stars"; Jordan and her ilk; all of the upper-class "models" stumbling up and down catwalks all over the world right now; any and all of the "spice girls" in their former and current careers; Simon Cowell; Piers Morgan; all of the royals, no matter how much the media proclaims they are "experts" at this that and the other.

That twit who does the driving show thingy - old, fat, ugly; and his hamster side-kick; Eamon Holmes, is it? and his dozy wife Ruth; Richard & Judy; that Lorraine chat show person too (all of the chat show people!).

OMG, and a whole Universe of supposed "stars" whose lights have long since gone out, if ever they were on.

Madonna, but I know why she is where she is. Most celebrities are inexplicably popular, IMO. Some have genuine talent and charisma, and belong where they are. Most don't.

Which brings me to my real point: no one is "talented" anyway. Talent is a taught thing, so people who are good at something have simply been taught it, practised it until they have perfected it and, usually, added in (or have been advised to add it) something of a personal slant of their own. S'all.

For all any of us know YOU reading this, yes, YOU could be the most fantastic ice skater, pianist, actor (think how much acting you do in a day already), jockey, mountaineer...

You just haven't or haven't had the interest or opportunity to try such things and find out, or be taught them.
