I find it worthy of note that on the news today they went.to basildon in search of a pro thatch view. They spoke to someone who thanked her for giving her the opportunity to buy a council house.....

Then they went oop north to show the anti thatch side. In that segment you could see that the concern was for the effect on community etc.

So is it any wonder that those that think of their own gain love her and those that think of people beyond themselves loath her? Is it fuck.

Unfortunately, there's this thing in the media called 'word counts'. Bloody inconsiderate, but unfortunately I'm not quite high status enough to get a 5,000 word expose published. That was 698 of the 700 that I'm allowed.

With regard to 'right to buy', I fully believe this was a negative thing on balance. Although a certain number of people arguably benefited from it, the most vulnerable people that need social housing today are counting the cost of it. I would say it was the archetypal Thatcherite policy; beneficial to certain individuals but had a significant social cost.
