Them Iranians trained by the US won't be many...and you can't compare the Taliban to the Iranians...the comparison is not even close.[/quote]
There is a rather small but well trained army the yanks have helped organise. Funny enough they were recruiting in London many years ago, ill look see if ive still got the nice shiny pamphlet they were handing out.

So the idea is to send them in as a fifth column and destroy bridges comms important facilities

.
NO you cant compare the Taliban to the Iranians, the Taliban are far more skilled in guerrilla wfare. They have been fighting for 30plus yrrs now.ONe is a fixed army the other fluid with ltd command and control facilities.
What will the Iranians do if attacked ?Thats the question or mwhat is there capability of retaliation if attacked and how will it manifest itself around the globe ? !!
There will be no ground invasion but an air campaign to bomb them back to the stone age.

Look at AFGHAN long campaign but tbh limited casualties.
Got to dispute that
Fiercely.
Depleted uranium has cemented the casualities to last for a long long time to come.
EDIT... or is that just Iraq?
If it's just Iraq, I'll just leave it and fiercely dispute it for then instead

Well ltd casualties I mean western military inflicted by the indigenous population.TBH generals only care about the body count that comes home not locals. More of them will be killed by unexploded ordnance and there own people than by DU.
Iraq well just look at the campaigns by Sunnis v Shias that's where the vast majority of deaths are coming from. Fact is they just don't like each other and one brand of Islam has to overcome the other by any means necessary.
