The Army is set to station soldiers and high velocity surface-to-air missiles on top of a block of residential flats to ward off any airborne terror threats during the Olympics.

Residents in the private, gated flats in Bow, east London, have received a leaflet warning them that a team of 10 soldiers and police will be stationed at the building - home to 700 people - for the duration of the Games.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) leaflet says the missiles will only be fired as a last resort

So, let's leak a story about 'just in case' missiles on top of people's homes to the msm, making said homes a prime target in the first place, then when something does happen to them (which will have absolutely nothing to do with us...nudge, nudge, wink, wink) we can blame it all on the nasty terrierists. For whatever reason 'they' whoever 'they' are seem intent on creating panics in relation to the Olympics.

What's a freaking solider on top of a flat with a rocket launcher going to achieve ????

Although on the other hand it could be a double bluff ...as in .......tell the 'enemy' what our strategy is?

I loved it that when they first announced this they felt compelled to say to the residents that (paraphrasing),"this won't make you a target for terrorists and will actually make you safer".

Ok, that makes sense doesn't it. In the same way as fighting wars in lands where our countries have no place being, makes us safer and doesn't do anything to foster ill feeling toward us...

Question is though, are they gonna keep getting away with this what can only be described as, :bs:

I made the mistake of getting my hair cut at the new Westfields shopping centre today (next to the olympic park)....what a mistake...Today there was a security testing day for the actual olympics.... plus 40thousand people attending for events.... What a nightmare to get anywhere in that area, :(
