Yeah wub, that's kind of the same point I just tried to make in the Sandy Hook thread.
We may not all see eye to eye on everything but basically we all come to sites like this cos we can see there's summat very wrong in the world....So why the Icke do we argue?

Not all of us see there's anything wrong though dub ;)

LMAO at the arrogance that you think any thread serves a more positive purpose than another.

Such an assine assumption is without a doubt a sign of fraudulence.

You know damn well why you wanted that thread locked.. ;)

I only come here to chat to some like-minded people and provide a bit of information now and then. I'm not interested in having an argument. I can have those quite easily in real life, all I need to do is speak to people and offer my opinion on any subject, and you can guarantee people will disagree with me almost immediately.

No offence WUB, but getting a thread locked because you don't want to talk about it any more is a bit...well, it's kinda arrogant. Whether anyone thinks a thread is 'productive' is entirely subjective, particularly if it's not an outright flame war. If you don't want to talk about something any more, just say ";look I'm done here" and leave the thread. It takes two to tango and arguments will probably die anyway. But getting it closed is basically saying nobody else is allowed to continue the conversation because you don't want to.
I realise it's well tempting to keep[ wading back in if people are saying things you want to respond to and it can be difficult to leave arguments alone once they've started, but that's our own problem and our own responsibility to resist the temptation. Obviously people can start other threads on the same topic, but there's something a bit icky about saying right, well I'm done with this, so the thread should be closed because I personally don't want to continue talking about this.

I'm yet to see anyone ask for a thread to be closed because they didn't want to talk about it anymore DM. I asked for one to be closed because it was in danger of causing real upset, others have asked for em to be closed because they'd started the thread in haste, others because the thread had become so fatally derailed by someone being willfully disruptive that they couldn't bear to see it continue..etc

To suggest all those threads were just asked to be closed because people couldn't just walk away or whatever is wrong imho.

That's why I don't mind firm but fair moderation. There's nothing wrong with debate, but trolls being given free reign to be utter wankers gets right on my tits.

If you think a person is a troll then you can always ignore their "trolling". Also remember that other people might not see them as trolls. They might simply be seen as a different pov.

I had the thread locked because people were talking about me not to me. If people call that arrogant, fine, I couldn't care less.

Trust me none of this has anything to do with people being Trolls...

It's pure hypocrisy considering most of the people on this forum were labeled shills at the DIF...

People who wan't threads locked no damn well why they wan't threads locked.

In America we have freedom of speech so we don't believe in censorship.

It should be obvious enough why people can't ignore these mystery trolls so to speak.

I can usually tell when someone is just being a cunt. A lot of people can. I've always had a pretty functional bullshit detector.
