What a bunch of good little consumers you are. You’re so adorable going through life with blinders on, not questing authority. Surely it’s that nasty economy devil that’s at the root of losing your jobs, homes, and nation locked in an endless cycle of wars. It couldn’t be corporate globalists and politicians on their payroll, that’s just crazy talk.

Surly those people protesting all over the world are doing it for absolutely nothing, right? After all, they should be paying attention to the important things in life like entertainment, sex, and money. That’s what normal people do after all. That’s why we’re here, alive and breathing, as conscious beings; To buy things, have others think for us, and not care about events that don’t seemingly effect us on a personal level. Apathy and narcissism is normal, and the right way.

While we’re at it, lets burn all the books of the world, as they clearly have some radical things in them that… *gasp*… make people think for themselves. Clearly anyone who does has mental health problems, and should be silenced immediately, as not to poison the rest of us with thought.

The comments section is something of an eye opener, so many people switched on enough to go 'so questioning the systems equals mentally ill? We don't think so Wendy.'

But then ones like this:

Christina May 20, 2011 at 2:42 am
There was a guy like his in my college town. He blew himself up in front of a full football stadium. The story is that it happened accidentally because the bomb was unstable and he never got into the stadium before it went off. I remember meeting him before it happened. He was saying odd stuff and we had only talked for a few minutes.
My current boyfriend has started to say stuff about certain topics and the motivation is that “they” are making money on this or that current bad situation. I feel like I need to reason with him early on or we wont make it in the long run.

So because her boyfriend understands how the world works (the things she says don't even sound like conspiracy theories anyway, just common sense, of course big companies make money out of bad situations) she needs to have a talk, nah 'reason' with him or he'll blow himself up like the probably made up nutter from her college? Sounds like he should dump her for being so short sighted and trying to change him to fit what she wants.

That Morozov article was very well written and he definitely drew a bg line in the sand there. Wow. Is it in Google's best interests to stop this type of radicalism?? I'll go with a big FUCK NO it's not a good idea because a bungload of people will all of a sudden turn to alternate search engines..... ;) Wouldn't be fiscally prudent. Google does a damn good job of tracking everyone too.

And this doesn't even include all of the rogue regimes they've sponsored, all the governments they've overthrown, all the CIA activity within foreign countries, the elections they've illegally bought abroad, the propaganda campaigns they've run abroad, the political leaders they've assassinated, the trillions of dollars of weapons they've sold (often to countries that they've later invaded), the promotion and funding of drug production and drug running and importation to the States, and so on.

And yet people still think they're living in the land of the free and the home of the brave, and that America stands for peace! Bush actually said this shortly after 9/11: "we're a peaceful nation". And people believe it! The biggest conspiracy for me isn't 9/11, it's that the Anglo-American establishment have murdered people all over the world for decades, engaged in absolutely no end of utterly despicable conduct, yet somehow people are still convinced that we're the good guys. That takes some good PR.
The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

Haha, I'm not surprised they didn't approve of your comment, DG. This is actually kind of amusing. I could image that poor admin's reaction if he/she started to receive a flood of similar responses. :chuckle:

It's maddening, especially for those of us who can see it. I agree with you completely, WUB. 9/11 really just made their intentions and goals a little clearer. It brought their tactics right to the doorstep of a culture who was mostly oblivious to the actions their government has allowed, supported, and taken part in. It was audacious and bold, and a clear sign that the power had gone to their head; They got sloppy. It's evident by Bush's statement about peace, and urging people to discount any notions of a conspiracy. Peace, true peace, shall never be obtained through violence, subjugation, and subversion.

I have to hear people spouting the patriotic line about freedoms being protected all the time. Most of them say it because they think it's socially acceptable, but don't really believe it completely. What freedoms are being protected exactly? Those 'freedoms' are attacked frequently on home soil by those claiming to protect it, and with corporately motivated bills and legislature; It's not some guy in a turban in distant lands that most people in the west can barely pronounce, let alone point out on a map. We have 'free speech zones' now for example.

You're right, the murdering and genocide has been going on for a long time. What really angers me is when I hear people claim that the anger is due to this nation's power and freedom. Right... it has nothing to do with financially and culturally destabilizing their home for corporate takeover, the collection of ancient knowledge, and the subsequent public destruction of that knowledge. Naturally they keep copies/artifacts for their own records. That ancient knowledge gives empowerment and independence from the anglo-system on several levels, and they can't have that. They need people to be completely dependent on them, which is why they target areas and peoples with ancient history. Case in point, the middle east.

And deleting comments that aren't 'on message' surely makes the Dear Wendy team part of a conspiracy.

Well, considering my original comment didn't meet their approval I've submitted it.

I wonder if it will make the cut!

The situation is absolutely no better whatsoever in Britain, in fact it's probably slightly worse. People have become pretty weary of the Westminster government, but there are numerous really rotten, fetid organisations that inexplicably completely maintain a positive image. My personal numero uno bugbear is the BBC, but we're all going to experience a lengthy vomit-fest this week, as the Queen 'celebrates' her Diamond Jubilee.

I feel like all the establishment has to do is roll the Queen out every so often, or run a flag up a pole before a baseball game, and everyone's back on side. Can we have the wool pulled over our eyes that easily?

Wendy doesn't exist, she's a CIA disinfo front for brain washing the type of person that actually listens to advice from online agony aunts into further submission. None of the letters are real, this one is part of an ongoing campaign against truthers. The first part was the letter about the roommate that 'she' links to, the game is to make everyone think all conspiracy theorists are schizophrenics or some other variation of dangerous and unhinged loon. Some of the comments are by agents to further the agenda. Or to talk to each other in code. :secret:

I know, take today for example, guy bursts into the Leveson Inquiry and accuses Tony Blair of war crimes, the press is more bothered about the security and how he got in there than the fact it's true and nothing has been done about it.

Expenses scandal came and went and it turns out certain people (Baroness Warsi but I bet there are others) are still being dishonest when it comes to money and what they claim because nothing very bad happened to anyone the first time it all came out. A4E and ATOS are supposed to be sorting out benefit 'cheats' (AKA the disabled and sick people on ESA), one is up to its neck in fraud and the other is paid millions to deliver an incompetent service that wastes more money in appeals than it saves in weeding out genuine cheats. And noone except those immediately affected by it bats an eyelash.

What a joke. This kind of corruption and sickening elitism is the kind of thing they used to guiloteen people for in France(not that I advocate that kind of thing) but it seems most of our society just moans about it for a bit then puts the telly on to watch Eastenders.

I agreed with all of your post, but it's particularly interesting to me how little people care about this. Most people would be in favour of the Work Programme, if you just asked them their opinion off-the-cuff. This affects everyone because it fundamentally changes the relationship between the individual and the State, and it is absolutely disastrous for the value of labour. But it's so true what you say that people don't care about things, until, or unless, it affects them. I really believe that this is the biggest achievement of the establishment; creating a culture and society where people don't care about each other, and even if they do, don't act in a way that is conducive to one another's well-being. I'm always hearing politicians say "communities", but this is just a politician's word now. There are no communities, or at best very few.
