I know what you mean though. It really is great stuff and cannot be duplicated in my opinion. In fact, is does do an awful lot to your body chemistry and this has been proven. It also lends some credence to those 'theories' about rays being blocked intentionally to make people more sickly and reliant on drugs etc.

I remarked to someone about the trees visible from my window recently. They thought it great how they had seemingly changed and blossomed overnight. It struck me that they did so because of two basic elements. Sunlight and water, much the same as everything else on this beautiful planet.

There is a rather marvelous D3 thread on here in the health section too. I forget just who started it, actually...

Don't you love how all this time they've been telling us to wear sunscreen & now it's coming out that sunscreen can cause cancer! Bastards!

Now, I'm not really a transhumanist or anything but it would be kinda cool if we, like plants, just needed to water ourselves and absorb the sun's rays! :2cool:

Y'all have high humidity & heat in the UK(I'm assuming that's your location)?

Not really, summers here tend to be a mixture of cool damp conditions (caused by the seemingly endless weather systems coming in off the Atlantic), & the odd 'heatwave' like we had recently.

Though when it is hot the humidity is usually high so its often very sticky & uncomfortable.

As far as I've seen, the sun hasn't been back since this thread was started. :O

Greek man flu at that!

It's a stinker, I feel up to doing something with my girls then ache for days after. I've had to knock back work, something we can barely afford, it's my eldests birthday this weekend and I want to give her the best ever because she's been an absolute gem this last year, coped with a lot for a little un...I'm waffling, the meds are working!

Anyway, patronising or not I'll take all the sympathy going as it's getting thin on the ground here after 10 days of it!

Maybe 'they've' been targeting you oi, as they know what a rebellious, out-spoken sort of chap you are. Whatever you do, don't get nekkid with another man in any under-passes. :umm:

I was laid out with a flu-like virus for a fucking fortnight back in november (could hardly post lol). Then I kept getting a 'recurrence' of it for a few days at a time for the rest of the winter.

A bastard to shake off it was.

Take that feeling, multiply it by loads and you are still nowhere near the agony that is man flu.
