I appreciate the skepticism of people like dogsmilk (one of the best posters of this or any other forum I have been a member of) but I also agree that skepticism should be aimed at rational debate and not merely mocking.
I think DM posts very rational arguments personally.
Others not so much.
^This.
I tire of RA and ibasters crap far more tbh.
Gue less so.
The ironic thing is for a long time I've been considered to be the skeptic, I just accept in your face truth of the ilk posted by WUB.
I'm also willing to discuss possibilities or scenarios, I wouldn't necessarily view them as being 'truth' just possibilities.
Conspiracy theories have time and again been proven to be true in the past, they do happen. World leaders, religious leaders and businessmen do indeed cause untold suffering, this is all factual. To deny it is to look far more stupid IMHO. To continue to support it is far more stupid.
Discussing it might not change much if anything but just dissing it and shilling for the establishment that is clearly fucked up is a dumb thing to do tbh. If you want to do that there are plenty of other forums to try, perhaps the BBC.
Thanks dude that means quite a lot to me
I'd just say the main reason we're clashing at the moment is I'm coming out of conspiracy theories again, reigning in my expansive and very haphazard assumptions conclusions about the world, not saying I;m necessarily right, but i feel I'm doing you all a favour one way or the other by encouraging you to question your beliefs. Somebody came into my life recently who was going through a very emotional, psychologically volatile reaction to all this information on the web, so in the interests of being extremely sympathetic with them i've been hyper critical of the ideas they were exposed to online.
WUB I worry you've totally forgotten how to question your beliefs personally, hence we've fallen out a few times, however, knowing this, I have decided to try and nurture your development as best I can from a safe and maintained distance to avoid us falling out.
I hope you can take that onboard I mean no offense.
