What I want to know is why these so called 'conservative' nutjobs who think gay marriage is destroying the culture and institution of marriage have no problem whatsoever with the child stealing social services, child benefit cutbacks, removal of married MANS tax allowance and so on and so on which is ACTUALLY harming the institution of marriage.
Surely all these childless couples now BY CHOICE because of monetary concerns and worries are a cultural attack on the institution of marriage? Or all these single mothers who have for a large part ended up this way because of apparent financial pressures?
How about the emerging trend of the mother and the father being at work and kids being left with carers even if the carers cost more than the mother makes...?
Isn't increasing taxation and reduction of services an attack on just about every aspect of British life and culture?
Isn't this against our sense of fair play?

This has been going on far longer than gay marriage which does nothing more than give a couple of people a certificate from the state.

So please tell me again how gay marriage is attacking cultural values of marriage when the institution is already finished?

If you really wanted to bring back real cultural marriage values to this country again you would have to reverse ALL the stuff I mentioned above which goes back to the turn of the 20th century and to some extent shortly after WW2 with the Attlee government. Successive governments since then have done their best to dismantle it, ESPECIALLY TORIES.
