Yet, still there are those who won't accept that this is happening and parts of this forum read like "Carry on Comrade" rather than a forum that is working to expose lies and encourage truth.
I'm very glad to see you back, Anthony, though I don't think the above was strictly necessary. It is your opinion, but I don't agree. There is much light-heartedness and banter on here and it is one of the reasons why I keep coming back.
Things can get a bit doom and gloom without it and you really only have to look at other forums to see that. Personally, I think it is what makes us so special. As to the lack of more meatier subjects - get posting!
Hello Abs. Banter is fine, fun is fine, humour is great, but there has to be a balance. I personally think the balance is tipped too far in the direction of Carry On, but it's just my opinion. Intentionally light hearted sections are there to lift people's spirits and some of the sections of the forum are very constructive, but I feel that "Today's News" currently feels neutered by wise guys, skeptics and people with an agenda to the point where very little positive is being discussed.
The Colorado shooting is one of the few stories being discussed, but was basically sidelined before it had even begun. This story is massive and there are many blogs and other websites that have taken this story a long way in a short time. Maybe this forum hasn't got the number of users to keep a Today's News section going, but right now I would look for news and discussions elsewhere. Again, just my feedback and others might feel differently. I just find it a shame when we have some great posters here that get shot down in flames when they try to think out of the mainstream box.
