A suspected member of the Al Qaeda terrorist group, arrested in May last year in Germany, was found with a memory stick hidden in his underwear. Police discovered the stick contained a password-protected folder with pornographic videos inside it, but suspicious computer forensic experts thought there must be more. After weeks of analysis, they determined that one of the pornographic videos contained concealed documents detailing Al Qaeda operations and plans.

The files were hidden in the video file through a process called steganography or concealed writing. The term steganography includes methods used for centuries, such as invisible ink, but now also includes techniques such as concealing (often unencrypted) content inside a digital image, video or audio file. Steganography conceals data within “plain sight,” which makes it difficult to detect.

Remember news of the bin Laden raid last year? It was stated that porn was found there though I don't recall the media (video, jump drive, Hustler forum).

And lest we forget reports of the 9-11 perpetrators seen at a nudie club shortly before embarking on their 'mission'.

Like you, I've no idea how valid these reports are, but if you really want to discredit someone - or further discredit them, report they were caught with porn of some nature.

I caught this story today, and found it to be pretty strange. How can the reader be sure that this person simply didn't have porn which he wished to hide because of his religious background? How can the reader be sure that this encoded information wasn't later planted? Some of the user comments on the site are impressive. They're asking tough questions which is a must these days.

It's very encouraging to see people asking questions like that. I hope the momentum picks up, and they start asking the tougher questions. The 'elite' can only bullshit and keep the rest of the population in the dark for so long. It starts to become obvious.
